Default kazuma 110 idle problems!

my sons 110 kazuma will not idle right. after its cranked up it sometimes idles good for a minute then it will shoot up real high, then drop way down, it does this until it finally dies. i have tried adjusting the fuel and idle screws, but cant get it right. do you think this is a carb problem or something else????????

Welcome to the forum gparker!

If it ran good for a while and now does this Id say the carbs dirty....does this machine have a fuel filter? If your still using the stock spark plug I would buy a NGK C7HSA and replace the stock plug..

Id get a fuel filter..it will keep the carb clean and working well....Set the valves with .003-.004 of clearance...

Did you check the ring gap before putting it together?

Off the top of my head Id say about .007

I base that on a old school theory of .0035 for every inch of bore...2" bore = .007 ring gap..

Im guessing at your bore size..

Another thing to do is stagger the ring openings 180º from each other...top ring opening on one side...next ring opening 180º from that... bottom set 180º from that.
