Default 250cc - how to get some extra HP?

2004 Barossa 250cc twin, Honda clone engine with double carbs.

How do i get a little extra puff out of this engine? I know there is aftermarket exhaust and power filters available.

Anything dirt cheap or free i can do to make it run better?

Thanks!

Youve found a aftermarket pipe for the 250cc Twin engine?

Besides making sure your jetted correctly and keeping a clean air filter, not much you can do for free/cheap...

Not sure what this says

Komplett rustfritt effektanlegg til 250cc.

Grovere rør hele veien.
Demonterbar innsats i potta

But that is a real nice looking exhaust system..

Thanks for the link!!

Yeah, Norwegian is'nt very much alike english..
I'll try to translate..

Complete stainless exhaust for 250cc.

Rougher pipes, with the opportunity to remove the "inside part" of the muffler (exhaust can).

Everything is expensive in Norway. But the exhaust system is actually not that bad. It costs about 2000 Norwegian Kroner. Thats about 330 USD.

I think they sell only for the 250cc and smaller engines Chinese Quads;
They also sell all original spareparts for this quads.

"Kasea, Barossa, SMC" Wich is the most common brands of these quads in Europe.

I'm all for having fun with chinese Quads but given the overall poor strength and quality I would be cautious of putting more power through the thing. They generally have a difficult time holding together with stock HP. It seems logical that they will have greater stress and problems from greater HP. Have fun!
