Default Fuel it leaks out from the bottom of the carb

Hi I have a Loncin 50cc quad.

Every time I fill it with fuel it leaks out from the bottom of the carb from a small pipe?

Any ideas on how to fix this please?

Just a guess, but it sounds like a stuck float overflowing out the bowl vent. The carb will probably have to come off for a good cleaning.

I agree completely with OneTenCC.

Once you fix the carb make sure you have a fuel filter installed between the tank and the carb to keep this from happening again.

Also check your engine oil to make sure gas hasn't also leaked into the cylinder, past the rings and into the crankcase. Smell the dipstick. If it smells like gas then change the oil, run the engine, and change the oil again.

I always thought that vent was a neat idea as opposed to what small outdoor power equipment engines have (no external bowl vent). If the float sticks on those, it just fills cylinder/crankcase until there's no more room in the Inn.
