110 Falcon Starter issue.
I have a kazuma 110 falcon. When I try to start it, the starter motor and the starter gear on the fly wheel shaft(?) spin freely without engaging the motor. I believe it all started when the starter silanoid engaged, for a period of time, while the engine was running. Is there some kind of key that holds the starter gear on the crankshaft to keep it from free spinning? I would check, but do not have the correct tool to pull the fly wheel. Check that, I do not have the correct bolts (no idea of the size) to use with my puller. Please help and my son would be eternally greatfull. Ken

All quads have to have a mechanism of some sort to disconnect the starter from the engine. When you crank the starter it spins the engine at roughly 600 RPM. When the quad starts is idles at roughly 1500 RPM. If the starter stayed connected to the engine when it started the starter motor would get wound up.
110cc motors use a "starter clutch" which is just a one way sprag clutch (google 'sprag clutch' for more info) to disconnect the starter from the engine. It is a really simple device. Sometimes it is just gummed up, other times it needs to be changed. Yours is just staying disconnected for whatever reason.
I've never had to change one, so I can't help on the procedure.
