does it sound like it's inside of the case? did the oil have metal shavings in it? if a chain drive, have you checked the little drive sprocket to see if the chain is slipping? i'm not familiar with your quad at all, but if it has got a centrifugal clutch, is it slipping? i'm trying to help ya! bear with me.......

well, it sounds like that? i just read the owner's manual online, and apparently it is V-belt driven so i presume that would mean centrifugal clutch, (i'm not a tranny man). sorry i couldn't help you anymore. they'll be a tranny expert come along shortly to see this post and help you out. see ya'

Welcome to the forum jesse8james!
Sorry for missing this post. Your 150 has a CVT which is belt driven but it also has gears.. The rear of the CVT has its own gear case. The part that the drive shaft sprocket comes out of.. It has 4 gears and has 90wt gear oil in it... you will need to take it apart and find the bad gear and or bearing..

tranmission trouble
i had the exact problem with mine and it is the drive gear assembly in the transmission.......if you are very mechanically inclined it is a simple fix. but you must take the trasmission case apart and replace the drive gear assembly (and gasket) total parts about $70 and about 3 hours to take apart and replace. just make sure to get it all put back together right the first time i had to do it twice since i overlooked a couple of mount bushings as i was putting it back together
