If someone could please write up a small guide on how to start this thing I would really appreciate it. I did get it started once but that was it I couldnt for the life of me start it a 2nd time. (the first time only last for 10 seconds or so. I should mention that its cold here also around 20-30f
Please any help in this matter would be useful.

Make sure the kill tether is all the way pushed in! We got my nephews atv home the other day a taotao 135D and it was running really fidgedy and turned out that the tether wasn't pushed on all the way.
Here is a tip guide from the website of the place I bought my taotaos, hope it helps some how.
After vehicle assembly, do the following:
a. Ensure all nuts/bolts are securely fastened.
b. Replace engine oil with a high grade blend (15-40w) or (10-40w)
c. Replace sparkplug with an appropriate new NGK plug. Part #CR6-HSA
25 point ATV/motorcycle system check:
Fuel System
1) Check carburetor for proper operation
2) Check for proper operation of choke
3) Check for proper operation of fuel pet-****
4) Check for proper operation of fuel drain line
5) Check for proper operation of gas tank vent
6) Check and adjust idle set screw
7) Adjust needle if necessary (high altitude)
Electrical
8) Install and check battery - fill with electrolyte if battery is not a sealed unit
9) Check fuses
10) Check all lights
11) Check ignition
12) Ensure proper operation of starter
13) Check that spark plug wire is properly installed
Engine
14) Check oil for proper level and quality
15) Check cooling system for anti-freeze (only on water cooled units)
Suspension
16) Check wheel bearings
17) Check and adjust suspension components
18) Check and adjust tire pressure (2-6psi and within 1lb of each other)
19) Check and adjust brakes
Other
20) Check all plastic for damage
21) Check and adjust throttle cable
22) Check foot-rests
23) Test all hand and foot controls for proper operation
24) Check and adjust (and lubricate) chain
25) Check transaxle fluid level (if necessary)
2. First Service Interval 10-15 Hours Use
a. Check all nuts/bolts for tightness and security.
b. Check all Engine/Vehicle fluid levels and ensure there are no leaks.

wow thank you very much.
I had two things wrong.
The speed limiter was way to low.
The choke was in the wrong posistion.
I do need to add a few things.
1. The spark plug you recommended
2. I purchased a fuel filter I still need to put it in
3. a fuel petcock (since mine didnt have one it it
4. a Better air filter (was recommended online.
I just wannt this to be perfect for my kid on christmas.
She is going to flip

You and I are in the same boat as far as making sure these things are perfect for our daughters love their new atv's!
One more thing, I went out yesterday and started the 110cc that we got for our daughter and the 125 that I am holding on to for my nephew and I noticed the 125 had a weak battery (they have only been sitting for about 3 days and the battery is losing juice). turns out these things are notorious for coming with crappy batteries! So, before you (santa) roll it up to the Christmas tree for her, make sure the battery is good and charged! You don't want to be working on the atv come Christmas morning!

TAOTAO 110 Oil Change mix up
So I have a 110cc I got new for the kids, It reached the break in on the new oil and I told my 14 year old son to wait until we changed the oil to allow his younger brother to ride it... While gone today, he took it upon himself to change the oil.. something he does on his own on his ATV.
the bad news is he pulled the wrong plug on the bottom and a shaft with holes fell out and he thinks it was backed by a spring. he thinks the spring shot back inside.. I have done alot of research and can not find much info... even the parts catalogs don't show this part..
if any one can give me some insight before i take this thing apart to find out if a spring is inside it would be appreciated....
