Default Rear Gearbox Fluid Change CG200

Hi guys, first time posting here, just looking for some info.

Quick back info, I picked up an atv for a song but it had it's share of problems.
200cc Found out if it is a cg200 chinese clone. HS163ML

New Piston, rings, honed cylinder, oil pump, head, valves. Everything else looks decent, but ia always try to change any fluids.

It has the following on the rear axle and i was looking for info on amount and type of fluid. I can't seem to find any sort of sight level/level hole and I was assuming 75w-90 or thereabouts.

Gearbox Style Chinese Atv Rear Axle Assembly - Vxaxlerev - Gear Boxes - Clutch & Parts - Chinese

All help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Ryan Berka

If their is no level screw/bolt then usually its fill until it comes out of the fill hole as long as the fill hole is not at the top of the drive... Never seen a chain drive that took gear oil before

Yeah, the fill/vent is on the top of mine. There are 2 plates that can be taken off, one on the top has the lever/actuator, and the side must be some sort of inspection plate. Actually that picture is reversed from the way it is installed on my atv. rotate in your mind so that the gear is on the right side, you can see the small tube and that is on the top, acting like a vent. The bolt you can see in the pic, that is the drain. It is a new one for me as well, I have heard about the cg200 usually being 5 forward for motorcycles and 4f1r in atv's. this cg200 appears to have 5f and then the reverse is actuated by a reverse lever operated like a handbrake in a car. cable goes back and attaches to this gearbox on the rear axle. Might have to just pull the existing oil and measure in the same amount, maybe a hair more for good measure.
