Default Need picture of working carb on taotao 125cc

Hi everyone,

Long time viwer on the forums but never posted. Lots of good info on here!!

I have a Tao Tao 125 ATV, it's been sitting for a couple years and I think it's from 2010 I believe.

I cleaned the carb and untapped the stock flat screws which block access to the screws to take it apart. I also changed fuel filter, battery and fuel lines.

I put it back together(at least as best I could remember ) and it did start up then died eventually. My issues is that I can't remember or figure out where the fuel lines go into the carb. I have 3 inlet nipples on the stock carb. I've tried the fuel line from the tank in 2 of the inlets on the carb. One of them doesn't seem to allow flow of gas to the carb while the other seems to allow too much and the carb starts to leak fuel once it's full from the air intake and all other possible holes.

Anyone have a picture of the older gen tao tao 125cc 4speed semi auto carburetor lines? I've searched the forum along with other ones and google and I can't seem to find this carb with the actual line set up to make it work!

Thank you!

Here are some pictures of the carb. I did not adjust the floats yet bit I want to ensure I've got all the lines right first.

You can see there is one nipple i have no hose connected. Not sure what it is for. Also there is the 3rd hose (black one) that connects to the block.

Default RE: Pictures of carb

If you look at the picture, you can see there is one nipple with no line currently hooked up. This one is the one that leaks the fuel everywhere if I connect the fuel line to it. The other one that currently has the fuel line attached, seems to not supply enough fuel or any at all to the carb. The third nipple is the one with the black line that connect to the engine block.

Do I have the lines mixed or is my carb broken and I need a new one?

Looks correct. Remove the carb and verify your float is working. Clean tube to fuel inlet and blow while turning carb upside down. By turning upside down, the float will seal and you can't blow air in. Also, when float is sealing, it should be parallel to the carb.

Thanks for the tips. Ill try this when I get home.

The other nipple, is that just a vent tube? Do I need to attach it anywhere?

It's just hanging...I think it's the over flow tube and just dumbs gas on the ground.

Default Carb

Hey guys. I recently picked up and old tao tao 125. I have a new carb replacing the old one. Does the fuel line just come out of the old one? Do you just pull it off or is there a special way. I got the spring off i just dont want to ruin the fuel line
