No more problem wiring. i got the wiring taken care of. the quad is about 3 years old and in real good condition. could the clutch on one of theses things be the problem?
I read something that said this could be the problem, when i bought the quad it a clutch. my buddy worked on it so im not sure what it was. i believe he said something was installed backwards. But seens then it has been hard starting.

Got it, It was the roller bearings on the back of the pulley. One was missing looks like the other two were turning and binding. So the combination of the missing chain tensioner and the bearing. So with that being said, i now have a whole new set of problems that have me boggled. After firing the quad up i went to kill it flipped the switch and nothing. then i turned the key off nothing. pulled the tether nothing. had to turn the idle down on the carb tell it died. what in the world is going on?
