Pine Nut Mountains Run
Meet: The 76 gas station @ intersection of Hwy 50 & 95 ALT in Silver Springs Nevada. There is Food, Water, Gas, Ice available.
Time: 8:00 AM * We will try and head out at 8:00 AM if you need to gas up please get there a little early. It’s about a 30 Min drive to the staging area near Wabuska Nevada
The Ride: This is a nice ride up into the Pines. We will make a loop thru the Pine Nuts along the Old Como Road Visiting the ghost town of Como and the old Hultey - Logan Mine we will make our way over to the Dayton Side then back over Sunrise Pass. This is going to be about a 60 mile loop. Please pack a Lunch ,water, sun screen, bug spray and extra fuel if needed.
After the wet winters and springs we have had, the trail will be a little rocky I am sure
The Trail: on a scale of 1 to 5 this is a 2.5
Radio: If you have a FRS radio (one of those little FM walkie - talkies) we use channel 5
