Well I just put 25" Bighorn radials on ITP Type 5 wheels on my SP 700. They look awsome. Found them for $600 delivered with caps and chrome lug nuts. They also came with chrome stems, which I'm not too sure about.

Question is what air pressure are people running them at? I ran my rawhides at 6 psi.

I have over 4500 miles on my set of BHRs; the crisp edges are long gone but they still have over a third of their tread remaining. They probably are the least expensive tire there is on a per mile basis.

Ridden Paiute Trail, Taylor Park area of Colorado, and mostly the small rocky wooded mountains of Arkansas with not one flat and never a traction problem.

The biggest mistake most people make is running them with too much pressure. They lose all the benefits of the radial when the pressure is up too far.

IMO 5 psi front and 4 1/2 psi rear is the most needed and that is for hard fast riding where criper handling is the priority. In rocky terrian I drop to as low as 4 psi front and 3 1/2 rear for a smoother ride and better grip.

 

i have pretty much settled on 4 psi front and 4.5 psi rear. i still bump this up or down a little depending on the trail i'm running on, but this is my default setting.

monty
