The tires should fit without any problems. The first number tells the height of the tire. Going from 26 down to 24 you will lose about an inch of ground clearance but will pick up some low end power (probably not too noticably in this case). The second number is the width of the tire. Rims are generally 7 or so inches wide. Wider tires can be used and just bulge more. For example, my quad has 7 inch rims all the way around with 8 inch wide tires on the front and 10 inchers on the back. The last number is the most important. It is the height of the rim/openning in the tire. It must match and yours does. If you are looking for a set of replacements, I have 4 polaris stock wheels with two brand new tires mounted. They are 24 inch tall tires. They were used as spares for my 09 sportsman 400 (sold) and have maybe 1 mile of use. I have all four wheels with one front tire and one rear tire mounted. The tires are the same as the stock 400 tires. Send me a PM if you are interested. $140 will buy them!
