they are both excellent machines for the dunes if this machine is only going to be used on the dunes and no where else i would say banshee but if there is a chance you are going to ride other places as well i would say raptor.

welcome to the forums

All my buddies who have been die hard dune Shee riders for 20 years are getting rid of them and getting 4-strokes....I think that is telling us something.

another question

since it sounds like i should go raptor
what size do you guys reccomend a 350 or 660 would want to go any bigger or smaller
would the 660 be a little big and heavy for the dunes does the 350 have enough power?
thanks

For your price range there are better machines brother. But if you're a die hard Yamaha guy I would get the Raptor. If not there's alway the Z400 or DS650 both of which are in large supply for $3000 and under. I've even seen some decent 450 Honda's and Yamaha's for close to $3000. Good luck in your endeavors.

I Gotta agree with Silverbomb, but cause you just can't beat the ride of a DS, Yeah there big, heavy, no reverse, but they ride like a couch on the dunes.
