Default Riding Cathole Road Trail in a drought

Got to take a ride on Cathole Road Trail in Claremont, NH this past weekend. Water/mudholes that are usually headlight deep were no more than a foot and a half. Drought is worst I've seen in New England. Still, we had a good ride. The rock in the video is 3.5 feet tall. A bit of a challenge especially when you forget to put it in 4wd!!!

It's more fun when I have someone going ahead of me into the mudholes when there's a lot of water in them. I avoided a couple cause I couldn't make out the bottom on them and I hadn't been through them in a couple years. They just get deeper and deeper. When we had tons of rain last year the president of our riding group said the guys going through either had to do water wheelies or get off and "float" the machines through. Never been through there when it was that deep. I have been through when the "chicken" trails around the holes were just about as bad as the hole itself.

Was kind of hot and humid. Usually when we go up top of one of the hills we get a bit refreshed from the breeze. It was a hot breeze. Around 85 and humid. I love going up there in the fall and early winter.

I'm from Mass. and go up to NH or ME to ride. Mass. doesn't have enough legal trails to justify registering here.
