Default Northern VT Ride

Hit the trails today for a ride. What a nice day, in the 70's and sunny. Kinda hard to believe its October. The foliage is great.

Looks like the NE Kingdom. Beautiful country up there. Went riding in Maine on Sat. myself. Colors weren't as nice as you had VTQR.

In Montgomery, VT in northwestern VT. It was a 33 mile run. I do plan on heading to the NE Kingdom sometime though.

Did some riding through my town of Highgate VT last weekend. It was nice to just jump on the quad and go. No trailering required.

I can almost smell the sweet smell of leaves on the ground. Last time I was up near Highgate we were renting a cottage on Lake Champlain and the owners decided to rent out 400 tent sites in their hayfield for the Grateful Dead concert at the airport. I was less than happy to put it mildly. They didn't tell any of the renters about it.

That sucks that they didnt tell you they were gonna rent out all of those tent sites. I was pretty young when the Grateful Dead came but I do remember it was pretty wild.

It was our first and last time renting there. I remember the owners' names were Alec and Sue. Rented sight unseen. Cottage was a dump. "Beach" had landfill in it with construction debris. And they didn't tell us or the people who had rented the nicer cottages for years. Those people were really upset and left. If it wasn't for my wife there were a few of the "fans" who probably wouldn't have made it through the weekend. I'm not pleasent when someone is blasting crappy music at 2 in the morning and keeping me awake.....

Did a little riding this weekend on my buddies land in Fairfield, VT. I just bought this 4x7 trailer. I wanted something a bit bigger but it was too good of a deal to pass up and its only a year old. It will fit better during the summer months when I dont have my drop rack on it.
