The trail systems here are either privately owned property with permission, National Forest Service, or State of NH state parks. NFS allows quads on certain trails only when snow covered. Because we're all taxpayers they allow multiple use on the trails in the winter. Private property trail systems are often a cooperative effort between ATVer's and snowmobiler's. It's agreed upon that ATV's and sleds share the trails. State parks in NH that allow ATV's in the winter are also cooperative efforts. ATV's pay a yearly registration like the sleds do.
