Most reliable ATV for renting.
I'm looking to pick up about a dozen ATVs. I need the best choice for the following:
Preferably 2wd
Range, ~50 miles
Racks
Possibly 225 lb riders
80% 25 mph tops road riding
Low octane regular gas
No 2 strokes since oil is very expensive/unobtainable in this location. Parts will be very difficult to obtain. Machines will be used by inexperienced riders (tourists).
Also tires that would be OK for off road but would wear extremely well on surfaced road.
A 4wd with great commonality of parts to the 2wd machines would be nice but not necessary. These would be chase machines with winches. Looking around it seems the Honda Recon might fit the ticket.
Ideas?

My buddy's brother owns a ATV rental company in Wisconsin. He has 7 Grizzly 350's. No issues at all with them. The Problem with the Recon is that it may be too small for some people and it is a semi manual transmission. Many will have issues with that. The Grizzly is a great size atv for all sizes. He also only has the fully automatic ones. I would also consider the Rancher A/T. We once went to Mexico and rented some. They were beaten to hell but still ran perfect.
