Polaris 600 sportsman won't start.
My 2004 Polaris sportsman 600 won't start. It will cold start just fine and fire right up. But if you get off and turn it off. When you get back on and try to start it, nothing happens. To cranking or turning or anything. What could cause this?

Look for simple things first like battery connection loose, etc. If battery and connections are ok,look under the front panel and see if you have the combo cdi/coil that says Ducati. Lot of problems on 2002 to early 2004 Sportsman 600/700 models on ignition systems. Replacement Kokusan ignition kits(2202603 for the 600) are about $450 or so if needed.Plus a couple videos on youtube on ignition replacement that are informative.
"IF" it doesn't have power after you kill it,no lights, starter, etc, then could just be a main circuit breaker tripping and needing replacing. It's located up from the battery in a sealed plastic pouch.Just slice the pouch open and check for corrosion at the terminals. You can find this cheap 20 amp breaker at any auto store,BUT I'd still check the ignition system to see if you have the Ducait or up dated Kokusan with the separate cdi and coil.
