Default ATV Track Tire Wrap?

I was researching tracks for use in snow and came across a post that made it sound like there are track wraps to be purchased for your tires that would give incredible traction in the snow BUT the only place I have been able to find these referenced is in that thread. Help! Who makes them, who sells them?

Never heard of them. I never could see the snow track set up being worth it. A set of snow tracks cost more then a good used snowmobile.

And a sled will get you across the lake at 80mph not 30 mph.

Here what I bought for only $1500 Canadian in mint shape as a second machine. It has a two up seat 500cc twin motor rated at 50hp and get up to 70mph,hand warmers, electric start and reverse.
Its on its 3 winter and has been dead on reailable. If I sold it I would not ask more the $1200 Canadian ($1000 US).

The best deal I found on used snow tracks was $2300.

Someone used to make plastic track sections that wrapped around the tire giving it the effect of a wide tire. I can't remember who made them. I think regular track kits are around $3,000 or double the price of TLC's sled. I thought about buying tracks myself but there's no way my ATV would fit down a trail with tracks on it.

Default Your Question Has Been Answered By Our Editors

When we first published the article of which you speak back in January 2014, there have been few products that struck up more interest than the snow tire wraps.

To make matters worse, the company that makes them is so elusive, that even google savvy searchers were powerless to find them on the web.

We have very good news indeed, we tracked (no pun intended) them down and are pleased to report they still make them, sell lots of em and have them in stock ready to ship.

The whole scoop can be found here:

ATV Connection has written a very misleading article with reference to price. The total price is not $900! It is $1800 plus shipping! The shipping calculator doesn't work and says "invalid zipcode for the USA" you can post a question at the bottom of their website but you can see that this company ignored all but one question.

Beware of this product! And don't waste your hard-earned $1,800 on junk from a website that is questionable!

For around $4 K you can buy the REAL DEAL and get Camoplast Tatou 4S with excellent flotation.

We've since amended the cost to reflect what you've observed. The packages around the $900 mark are in fact sold in pairs with four wheel packages coming in at $1800.

Here is a 2005 MXZ 800 its rated at 160hp and does not even care if there is ice on the lake. MINT CONDITION. ELECTRIC START, REVESE AND COVER.
$3800 W/ 2 UP SEAT
$3600 WITHOUT
and your 4 wheeler sits the winter out instead of being worked to out all winter. Those heavy tracks can't be good on the axles and CV joints.

TLC,

Point VERY well made! That's a nice sled! In my area the snow is iffy at best. We could get back-to-back snow storms, or like this year, 2" of rain predicted for Christmas! Lol! That's why Camoplast tracks would work well for me. (just having a very hard time saving up for them)

Wonder what the wear and tear would be on the power steering ATV's?
