Stator heats up "hot"
Ok so I got this 110cc kazuma lacoste 2006 for free and all it needed was an ignition coil and battery. Replaced it along with a new cdi. Everything was running great till I accidentally hooked up the battery wrong 😕 my stator fried completely. So I got a new stator and installed it. I noticed when I hooked up the battery I got a spark and the stator coil got really hot. So I then replaced the v/r . Not sure if the vr I got was good but I ran some tests and noticed that when I check ground to red from battery at the v/r I get 12v and when I touch the white wire I get close to the same. This is all with the ignition off and also unplugged....... I don't think I should get 12v from the white line with ignition off. I checked all grounds and they are good if I disconnect the stator then I don't get a spark at the battery
