Default Polaris 400 sport 95
Hi I have Polaris 400 sport year 95 it doesn't want to start I did a compression test it is getting 120 psi but when I take the plug out and put a little gas in to the cylinder it fires. Where should I start with this

search the forums their has been a similar issue within the last week on a polaris

Carb needs to be cleaned. I would guess that it has gunk in the main jet, or stuck needle seat or reed. Also check fuel shutoff for plugged lines.

No sense in just taking a carb off and cleaning it as that may not always solve the problem and you'd have to take it back off again. Install a good Shindy carb kit and eliminate the carb from being the problem. Shindy Carb Repair Kit For Polaris Sportsman Sport Xplorer 400 4x4 94-95 03-404
