Advice on buying
Hello Everyone,
I be a first timer here, so please go easy lol. I've been quading (trail riding) 3 times now and have decided to purchase instead of borrow and rent. This in turn somehow convinced my dad (just turned the big 50) to start looking to buy a Side by Side. We will likely go rider together a lot and with that being said my primary destination is trails full of swamped out areas that are impassable, aside right through. The spots are usually 2 to 4 feet deep of mud, water and sand with islands(tree stumps surrounded by dryer dirt mounds) patched through sections lasting anywhere from 20 feet to quarter mile. The rest is packed dirt paths, flat winding through trees etc. So in other words no big hills etc. Now for the question. Can a SxS handle that? If so, can it handle it without being stuck every two feet? If so, which do you recommend? I have been told nothing but positive things about the Polaris RZR. Cheers and be gentle.

idk what ur price range is but the new can am sidexside is supposed to be really good. stay away from mules, they suck, and have no power what so ever. is it a play only or will it be used for some work. the ranger rzr 900xp is an amazing machine and would kick butt at what u want 2 use if for. especialy if u put some maxxis mudzillla tires on it

Hello Everyone. So I passed along all this great advice and then he discovered a used Tomcar TM27g 2006. I did a small amount of reading on these and found that they are Military grade vehicles and are supposed to last 20 years. The one he is looking at looks like it was driven to hell and back. How do they compare to the RZR and Commander? With neither of those being available used the difference in cost would be RZR/Commander 15-20K New or 7.5K used for the Tomcar. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
