I purchased a Chironex Spartan 500cc a week ago. It starts fine, it runs fine for 20 to 30 minutes and then it dies! Can anyone help? When it dies it starts up again in neutral but will not idle. You have to give it gas to keep it going. Of course when you give it gas it is running too fast to engage the low or high speeds, if you take your foot off the gas it dies. Let it stand for an hour and it will work again for 20 to 30 min and then die.
The dealer says the motor is new and tight, he says I have to run it in..... I am not certain that running it in means it will only run for 20 to 30 minutes and then you have to stop for an hour. Help

Happy to let all of you know that the dealer sent his mechanic and he bled the carb, turned up the idle, repositioned the fuel filter so air would not accumulate and by God this thing now purrs like a kitten. The mechanic suggested that I still use a run in procedure for the first 500km. Well this is good news for me.
