Anybody have any input on residential snowplowing with a Big Red ? I am looking at a 2013, seems capable enough, just wondering if any of you folks who own one can post any feedback. Thanks

 

I plow with a quad which has less weight than a UTV like the Big Red. I've been impressed so far with how well it plows. I've plowed 8" of wet snow and 6" of slightly drier snow. I was able to push the snow all the way from my garage, down the driveway, and halfway down the fence in front of my yard. A distance of about 100'. So, my thought is that if the quads can push that much snow, a heavier UTV ought to be able to also. The Big Red has a full locking front end unlike other Honda ATVs which have limited slip fronts.

I see 2wd ATVs plow with chains so I hope a 4x4 sxs can.

 

I have been plowing with my quad since 04 (prairie 700 ) and have had no trouble movin snow, So I too figured a heavier machine would only be better at plowing. I am just in the market for another toy....I mean work machine and figured I would ask some owners and see how they liked theres. I do not think there would be much differance. I like the idea of having a wider blade , and no more frozen throttle thumb. thanks for the input
