Honda AT 20 hour service
I talked with my Honda dealer today. He said to do the first service at 20 hours. They want 96.00 plus parts for this service. He stated the valves should be adjusted after 20 hours.
My first ATV and like cars, is the dealer trying to make more money. What do you all do?
They charge 20.00 for an oil change, on top of all the above. Do the valves need adjusting at 20 hours. Your thoughts.

Honda AT 20 hour service
My local dealer wants $180 for the 20 hour checkup on my V Force. The most important part of the checkup is to adjust the valves. I neglected to check the valves on my 400EX, and ended up burning the valves out, and frying the piston. Other than that, they just check fluids, wiggle lines to see if their tight, ect..............
The best thing for you to do is to get a full service manual for your quad, and do it yourself. Valves are very easy to adjust, and should be done once or twice a year (depending on how often you ride) to keep your quad running at its peak performance.
