Default first 3 wheeler/ whats the shift pattern

This is our first 3 wheeler, an atc 125m. I got it for my 8 yr old son. the price was just too good. FREE ..... And i saw it run last year. Before i start it, I want to know if nuetral is all the way up or all the way down. thanx

Nope, neutral is all the way up.

Then you have 4 gears down (fourth is all the way down).

If it's an atc 125M, it should have a green neutral indicator lamp.

I know this because my first ATV ever was an atc 125m.

Then don't forget that down below, next to the left rear tire, you also have a switch which gives you the option for switching between H (hi) and L (lo) range. (for normal riding, I suggest you keep it in the H position).

Enjoy your machine! (I loved mine...until I outgrew it).

Yep, Honda made a few 4 wheelers with similar trannies. I never could ride the damn thing right, kept shifting up thinking is was going to second. Had me confused as hell.

hey thanx a ton guys. I hope my son and eventually my girls will like it. Were starting a little refurbishing on it today.

What year is it? Mine is an 85' and the shift pattern is neutral then 4 gears up.

It's a 1984 atc 125m. Maybe we should have a web poll
N on top or N on bottom????

i got a fealing that the 350X and 125M have a slightly difrent trany...................... lol..........................
and i never had a motor powered tricycle.................
