Default water in the brakes

i new it was a matter of time b/f i got water in my brakes . in the rear. i have an 05 rancher, and was wondering how to get the tension back in my brakes. is there any other adjusters besides the one on the rear housing. is there one like there is for the reverse line? isnt that adjustment on the rear housing more for when you pads wear down do to use? it seams like were the brake has been used it has just stretched over time. wouldnt it be easier and cheaper just to buy new seals compared to greasing them, or both. and is there any other way for water to get in the brakes b/c my seals dont look bad at all. no brakes or noticable thin spots. im trying to make these shoes last untill spring, and i plan on getting a disc set, much less maitenence, at least if you like mudding it is. why dont honda just put disc on factory. is there any advantage shoes over disc other than lifetime? cause i swear it wouldnt have bothered me to pay another hundred or two to have them already on my quad. just my 2cents
