Default Removal of starter, Honda Rancher 350 TE

I can't figure out how to get to the starter and remove it so I can have it serviced, brushes or whatever else it needs. Do you need to remove a bunch of plastic and the battery box. I'm hoping I'm looking at what I think is the starter under the battery at the back of the mortor.
