If it is a 2wd it will need to be a center spool winch or it will hit the tire in a sharp turn. ( the 2wd turn sharper). My friend has a 2500# gorilla winch and it would not pull out a Big bear last weekend so we hooked up my rt25 warn and it pulled it out with no problem. My friend also agreed it was a better winch than his gorilla.

2007 rancher winch
I found a warn 25 at a local farm store (tsc) that was on clearance for $199.00 and after ordering a mounting bracket i have 280.00 total invested. Just finished the install and it was not to bad. The directions could have been a little better but overall it was not a bad install. I did have some wires crossed which made the control run backwards but that was an easy fix.

I have a Gorrilla winch on my 420 Rancher and it was good for the frist year i had it but now because of where it is mounted so low on the frame the elements have trashed the electric motor, and one other time i had to clean out the gears because they were filled up with sand. I think if you are in the water and mud alot a winch is great but it will eventually get ruined. My nexet winch will be a Mile Marker or a Warn
