Default 2006 Rancher AT esp shift code

Hi folks,
I have a 2006 rancher at 400. Had an esp code blinking 6 times I reset the position angle sensor and cleaned and greased all the conectors. Now I have a error code blink 12 now. Any comments would be great.

Thanks,
Fishands

0 blinks: No problem
1 blink: ECU
2 blinks: ES Shift up / down shift system or shift release / related wire harness or ECU
3 blinks: Angle sensor
4 blinks: Gear position switch system
5 blinks: ECU motor driver
6 blinks: ECU fail-safe relay circuit
7 blinks: ECU Voltage convert circuit
8 blinks: Angle Sensor control motor
9 blinks: Angle Sensor short or related wire

The 350ES has a totally different engine and gearbox to the 400AT. Try changing into 1st with the manual gearchange lever, then change back down into neutral. The --- mean it is in between gears, unless they are flashing Morse, in which case they are telling you which fault is on, not sure if the above fault code list is for the ES or the AT, the person who posted it seems unclear.

Thanks for the feedback….I did try to manually shift it as well as tried to rock it back and forth but no luck…I order a reveres sensor and have been plugging and unplugging wires in hopes to find something….was working fine and then blaaa

If it won't shift with the emergency lever, remove the shift motor, if it still won't shift manually, you have a mechanical problem with the linkage inside the clutch cover. Usually it is the lever which engages the pawl that turns the star wheel, or the pawl, broken or cracked, or the star wheel come loose on the end of the shift drum. However on 350s only, I have known the rod which holds the shift forks to break through the crankcase into the clutch housing.
