Im trying to find info on Honda auto trans. Can anyone explain the difference between the trans. in the Rubicon verse the Rincon. Also the Rancher AT.

The Rubicon has a "D" option for a low range while the Rincon does not. Believe it or not a 500 Rubicon could probably out pull a 680 Rincon in a dead weight pull.

I was told the Rubicon has a hydrostatic trans and the Rincon has a trans simular to a honda civic.

The Rincon uses a 3 speed gear type transmission each gear has it's own clutch pack , it also uses a torque convertor ... The Rubicon uses a hydrostatic pump which has an adjustable swash plate that uses 5 preset angles that simulate gears ..

I have a 07 Rancher AT and for some reason top speed is 36mph, would the trans play a factor?

Most likely the centrifugal clutch shoes and drum are burnt, slipping

What size of tires do you have on your Rancher AT. My 07 rancher AT tops out at 53 mph. Everything is stock.
