honda 400ex bearings...
so its time to replace my rear carrier bearings once again... does anyone make bearings that last longer than a year? replacing them once a year seems rediculous seems how i only ride 9 months out of the year. the front wheel bearings have never bothered. i do ride some mud and water. honda should have put some reliability into their rear carrier bearings. any help with this bearing problem would be great.

In 10 years I have only replaced mine once, and that was my own fault because I rode in a flash flood (lots of very very fine silt). I don't think Honda ever claimed that the 400 was a submarine...so there is probably some blame to share here!
I went with the Lonestar carrier and bearings. It has double rows, so the axle can't torque at all and the load is shared around between the bearings more evenly.

I don't know is Lonestar sells bearing seperately????
My bearings went out on a long deser ride and I had to get back home, so I ruined the carrier as well. Turned out that tha Lonestar wasn't any more expensive than the OEM one, so I went with the aftermarket.....
