87 trx350 foreman elec start problems
I have a 87 foreman TRX350. It will start with the electric starter if you
jumper the two large terminals across on the solenoid. I checked and there
is a change in voltage of .016V on the yellow/red wire at the solenoid when
I push on the handlebar starter button. How much should it have? Any
ideas??? None of the lights come on by the key. Where does the neural light
green/red wire go? How does it work?

I tested the neutral safety switch and it works fine. I still don't have
any indicator lights - neutral, reverse, or oil. I did ohms check all
switches and they work fine. The starter works fine when I jumper the
yellow/red wire to the + battery. When I unplug the large round plug at the
back I am not getting any power out of any of the wires. This makes sense
because I don't have any power to the front of the bike. In the fuse box
only the constant 15A one has power. I am thinking that the main fuse isn't
working. Kind of weird. It shows 2v when I first hook up the meter and
then I can watch the voltage drop as the meter is hooked up to it. The
bike doesn't have an electric fuel pump on it. Has someone already changed
something?
The bike starts and runs great if you kick start it. I am just wanting to
get the electric starter working.
