Default 2004 honda 300ex starting problems

ok when i push the start button the starter free spins. if you let sit for a few minutes and try again as the starter is free spinning the atv will start. but everyweek its getting harder and harder to start. im not sure of the problem. please help.

Default 2004 honda 300ex starting problems

if its like other honda engines, imo it sounds like the brushes on the starter motor are getting warn down and should be replaced

so just replace the starter or just the brushes?

if your starter is turning over its probly just the brushes
