I just bought my son a band new 2007 400ex from the dealer. I would like to get a set of Nerf bars to protect the area that surround his feet. Is there a specific brand I should purchase if sp where should I order them?? How much do a average set of nerf bars cost ??? Thanks

 

i wouldnt get just nerfs,get nerf bars foot pegs and heel guards much better protection.i just bought rock nerfs and they are awesome real strong and look great mine too is a 07.got them from motosport $240.00 bucks but you can find them cheaper on ebay but they wont be rocks and wont be black.

 

Still nice looking bud.Do you even ride it all all.It does not look like it gets dirty.HA HA.

 

gets rode all the time just went down to the railaoad tracks today real rough terrain! lol right behind the worlds largest ketchup bottle lol!!!

 

ya, if i bought another sport atv i wouldnt even ride it withou nerf bars.... i had been riding my new 07 400ex, had about 10 hrs that i put on it so i was gettn the hang of it, and i was goin thru a sandpit and hit a bad bump and it popped up the back end and sent me towards the handlebars and my right foot slipped down and caught the ground, went under the foot peg, rolled the ankle and bent it down... i shattered both leg bones and my ankle bone on my right leg. i now have 2 plates and 22 screws in my leg after 2 surgeries and a week in the hospital. this happened about a month ago, and i still have about a month and a half until i can walk. the 3rd day in the hosp we bought nerf bars. real sturdy nerf bars, bought em on ebay for around 100 i think. nothing compared to the $60,000 hosp bill if we didnt have insurance.

you can get them on ebay they have all different kinds.i got mine at motosport.com $240.00 shipped got them in 2 days! yes they come with right&left. just before i bought my rock nerfs my foot went to the side of the flimsy plastic heel guard and pushed it down into the tire when i landed from a jump, my foot went under the tire,somehow i pulled it out kept riding waiting for the pain to kick in but it never did,rode the rest of the day no problems.guess luck was on my side that day! also the rock nerfs have removable & adjustable pegs.

 

they make nerf bars with and without both footpegs and heelguards. mine just has the pegs, where moto134's have foot pegs and heelguards.

 

looks like you need some heel guards.did you read my last post?
