Default Trying to get back in an ATV. Need help pricing old Honda.

My girlfriend works at a horse ranch and they have an old Honda Fourtrax 300 4x2 out there that I have never seen move. The horse trainer says it runs, but I have never seen it. It is in OK shape. Tires hold air, seat is torn to shreds, plastic is faded, but looks like it would move if I put a little TLC into it. Any idea what the old beast is worth?

If you could provide a pic it would help a little better.

But I personally probably wouldn't go more than 200-300.
And that is with it not running.

I've seen the 4x2's go for between $600 and $1200 in running condition. A 4x4 in good condition is worth around $1500. A buddy bought a rough condition but running 4x4 with good tires for $650. For the one you mention I'd agree that $300 would be a good price. Before you buy check that is has spark and see if it will turn over on starting fluid. Also move it around and see if the suspension and axles seem okay.

Here's a picture of it. Originally, the guy was talking about $300, which I thought was a decent price. He's getting married soon, so hopefully he will commit to selling it. I know he could use the cash.

Those things where super reliable, don,t let the cosmetics fool you.
Hondas are known for reliability but the TRX300 was the best of the bunch before the 350 Rancher replaced it in 2001.

I have the '89 of the model, its a freaking tank. It be rode hard, flipped, rolled, and last week ran into a tree HARD. The front rack and plastics are shredded but the subframe and steering is untouched, only cosmetic damage. It is a beast on trails and will even putter along on the dunes without nary a paddle tire (jumps too).
