When will the TRX450R be updated??
Does anyone know if/when Honda will update the TRX450R with better and more modern features? They still have the same quad since 2006 essentially. They need fuel injection, udated electronics, just an entire overhaul. Don't get me wrong I love that quad (its what I race) but come on Honda!!!

I agree. It's a great platform but it does need some of the motor upgrades that the CRF gets. Honda has basically neglected it's sport atv division since the release of the 700xx.
Hondas PGFI is the best on the market reliability wise so I don't see any downfall going that route. Also could use slightly longer wheel travel both front and rear along with upgraded shocks.
I'd even like to see them revise the body work a little bit. The 400ex actually looks like the faster bike now lol

I don't think aluminum frames are a big hit on sport quads. While racing offroad, you actually want flexx in your frame and a aluminum frame is stiffer. By the time they use enough aluminum to make it strong, you have nearly the same weight in frame as a simple steel one. Even ktm stuck with a steel frame on what was the best stock race quad on the planet. Aluminum seems to be more about flash then actual performance at this point
