Default 2002 DS650 Dies under throttle

PLEASE help me.

I had just purchased a new to me 2002 ds650 didnt get to ride it that much because it was so cold outside it didnt run to well but needless to say being the person that i am i changed the spark plugs and added some oil to the bike as well as looked over the coolant and it was all ok. i went to ride it yesterday after installing some heat tape for the exhaust that a auto zone representative had got me and i get going down the road and the damn exhaust catches fire. so i was able to miraculously put it out and it started to act weird it would die under acceleration. so i pulled the carb and cleaned it as well as got fresh gas and during cleaning the carb i noticed that a jet had been stripped from its socket so i bought a new carb from a ebay seller named caltric. after installing the carb it fired right up and sounded great but still dies under accleration. i dont know what to do with it every time it dies it almost sounds like the motor is going to explode. i didnt get to ride it much to confirm if this problem was always there. could it be the cdi or regulator? im at a complete loss and any help at all would be very very much appreciated. im going to pull the new carb apart and look at that. also is it possible that the spark plug wires are bad or on the wrong plug?

Have you adjusted the air fuel screw under the carb? have you jetted the new carb ? Imo its just lean ... open up that air fuel screw a good turn or two. and maybe lower the clip on the needle one setting to richen it up some ....
