Default 2004 rubicon no spark help!

ok a few weeks ago i bought a 04 rubicon 500 4x4 with only 1173 miles on it for only 1200 this is a very clean atv. so ive tested the coil regulator etc i took the stator out and bench tested it and it tested good put it back in and its not putting any volts out so i think its bad but my dad thinks it still may be something esle anything else i need to check before i order a 150$ stator thanks

Does the bike run? In most cases the regulator is at fault if the bike runs but doesn't charge. Hondas will also run if the stator is shot, though this could depend on the fault. I've never found any tests on regulators that were accurate, even those on stators are not conclusive, unless you find the coils are earthed, then you know something is wrong.

Has it ran since you have owned it? In regards to the stator, did you check the resistance between the windings.....and then resistance to ground...on each leg of the windings? Have you checked the handle bar kill switch, ( installed a new plug...right ) checked fuses and wiring? It may or may not be the stator. Could be the CDI, but one must first prove that everything else is good prior to purchasing a CDI.
