Default E22 cylinder head torque

Not sure if this should go here, but we have been stuck with a Honda CRF70 two wheeler to fix (boss's cousin) and, after emptying the carb and tank of water and re-setting valve lash, it did fire up, but boss declared it gutless, which isn't surprising as there is no compression. So took the head off, and the rings are so badly worn they don't grip the cylinder, ring gap above 1/8." Iv'e ordered a cheap Chinese cylinder and piston kit, at £24.70 with gaskets, suspiciously cheap. Honda have made over 80 million of these engines, and the Chinese are turning out millions more, but I can't find a reliable torque figure for head nuts on the net. Anyone know what it should be for the 70?

Eighty million, and nobody knows? I tried Googling Honda C70 instead of E22 and got a result of sorts, consensus seems to be 6.5 to 10 ft/lbs. If anyone knows different please jump in.

Found two sites that basically show similaar readings to what you've found.Torque your headbolts!!!!
'05 crf70 torque specs and other - XR/CRF 50/70/110 - ThumperTalk
Just my two cents,I've never found any of the little machines torqued below 8 foot pounds,at least the ones I worked on. I guess splitting hairs would be 8-10 foot pounds.
