Just make sure you keep your oil changed often beacuse theres a lot more heat.If your going to do that get a cam and some good valves while your at it.

My extra 440 motor is getting redone now and im getting it stroked im not sure what the size is going to exactly. but it sould run well.

I went with a 426 kit in my 400ex, It has larger intake valves, 3 angle valve job, porting and polishing, xr400 cam, 11:1 high compression piston all for about $900. I ride the hell out of that bike and it holds up like-- champ. PRO FAB ATV out of Lancaster, Ohio. the #

Outlaw ATV in New Jersey built some of the fastest 440's I ever seen. They run with modded banshees, smoke stockers. They seem to be very reliable also. My friend has one done by them and it absolutly rips. Best advice is dont cheap out get all the needed parts its will only cost you in the long run.

yeah, scott at pro fab is a good guy, does good work....he did my port work, I highly recommend him.....I also suggest throwing that piece of crap ex motor away, and getting a water cooled yzf motor to run hard.....
