Bill.C,Sorry that my post irritated you so much,i just call it like i see it.By the way,i live in one of the highest educational regions in the contry per capita.Maybe the reason that i see more Hondas in my area is that people are more educated and can read all about the satisfied customer base that Honda has established in magazines and forums like this one.I bet you Polaris owners really think it's funny when a negative Honda post is written in our forum but cannot take the heat when the truth is written about Polaris.

I think the reason you see so many older Hondas still running is because they are built to last practicaly 4 ever.Thats why their resale value is so high!In general they will outlast any other atv.But I wouldnt call Polaris junk either they may not be as reliable but they do have alot of nice features that Honda, and Yamaha do not.

Yes autos are for wussies. Take the Artic Cat Thundercat for example. 999cc 172hp auto. You've got to be a real sissy to only want 172 hp under you a$$ !!!!
Now if it were a 20 hp with a 5 speed... Now that would be tough!
Get real, an auto or 5 speed doesn't make the man. I've got a hopped up 5.0 with a 5 speed tremec & a '69 IH 3/4 ton 4X4 with a granny gear 4speed. But when I drive my auto Grand Cherokee I can't remember anyone saying I was a wussie because I didn't drive my IH or 5.0 that day.
You kids, I tell ya.

The reason you see Honda more than other quads is that Honda was the first ATV maker and Yamaha is probably second. They both make great machines but I have heard that Yamaha's first quads were unreliable. Don't get me wrong Yamaha makes fast bikes it's just their firsts that had problems.

I get a kick out of you polaris haters. This summer I walked into a polaris dealer and ended up buying a year 2000 early release polaris expedition 425 cc. 5 speed. Now they are coming out with the same thing only a 325
cc 5 speed. If honda invented atv's. I tip my
hat off to them. I used my atv grouse hunting
this fall. I drove through some deep water and mud holes. I like the machine. Polaris seems to out number the others in minnesota. My dad and my cousin each have old polaris atv's that look ugly but they both still run.
My dads neighbor has a kaw. atv 2 years old 400cc. His dealer told him that he could pull
away all the other brands atv. Polaris, honda, you name it. I told him, lets hook up.
He has not done it yet. I plan to put 26" blackwater viper tires on it next year because minnesota has been getting too much rain every year lately; so the water holes keep getting deeper and deeper. I do love the
5 speed shifting. I understand what you 5 speed lovers mean. I can out perform the polaris sp500 machines which is one of polaris's most popular machines, I understand. I cannot talk about the past and i'm more interested in the future any how. I will agree with the people that say the new polaris machines are heavy. They are. They are not for the people that like to do wheelies and such. For us outdoor hunters, our machines are fine. You enjoy yours! and I
will enjoy mine! - chet lake i.e. ranger chet........polaris expedition 425 cc 5 speed.......
