HONDA 400R TWO-STROKE QUAD?????????????

Our sources tell us that Honda might be considering releasing a future quad version of the 400EXP dirt bike that they raced a few years ago at the baja 1000. This machine used a cleaner burning , 400cc, Single cylinder two-stroke engine with electronic fuel injection.We have heard that Honda's enginering department is working on a new and improved version of the 400EXP motor that will burn even cleaner to meet the strict California emission requirements. Could this engine apppear in a future Honda high performance two-stroke quad as a replacement for the legendary FourTrax 250R?????? We certainly hope so......End quote.


I must say WOOOOW!!! May I remind everyone that this arditcal in over the bars looks verry simmaler to the same arditcal a few issues back that rumored the Rubicon.

I must say again, I'm "stuned".I don't know what to say!A 400 two-Stroke,Fuel injected!TRX,It gives me chills just thinking about it.I would guess? About 48hp right out of the crate?

Believe me, from all the magazines I read, when they say "our sources say" they mean business! Almost every machine that came out recently they knew before they were introduced. So I have reason to believe that Honda will put this in a quad chassis.

A 400cc two-stroke from Honda? NOT LIKELY!

The only reason that the 400cc displacement was used on the test-bed engine is because it was very hard displacement to make burn "clean". It has a large combustion volume and high piston speeds, which make the ARC system more difficult to work.

More likely we will see a TRX250R, which is exactly what I want!!!

 

Either one will be welcome!

I bet anyone that the displacement WILL NOT BE 400!

 

Hot dog!!! Could you imagine a 400 with EFI and the rpm's of a two stroke and Honda's trx suspension to boot? That'll give everyone something to argue about...it would crush everything on the market accept the quadzilla.

 

Maybe D.Page was showing what the power curve through the rpm's are on the 400 2 stroke!? Hehe, just kidding. I too doubt that it will be a 400, but if it was, it would probably smoke the Quadzilla also.
