I have a new in box FMF Megamax II pipe and jet kit for a honda recon for sale. I paid $238.69(180.99 for the pipe and 57.70 for the jet kit) + $14.32 in sales tax. I'll sell it for $200 even.

Still no matter what you do its still a 229cc machine. You can hop it up and a well executed 300ex will still pass you up.

Why spend 700 or more into a machine that will not be worth one dime more(probably less) after you hop it up. Sell it and take your dough and get a better machine that will have better resale and outperform even the most modded 250recon like a 300 or 400ex or eiger if you want utility. Also, the more you mod it the more likely it will break down due to higher temps/engine drivetain stess

well if it were a 2002 or 2003 recon I could have some ideas. but up until then the head was totally different from the 250ex.

in 2001 this was the differences with the motor. higher compression, valve timing has been revised, and the vavles are now canted 55 degrees, rather parallel to each other. this would make me think that the powroll kit might not be such an idea cuz of the high ratio rocker arm. I dont know if it would work in a older recon. be something to call and ask them.

But web cams make a cam for a 250ex. but again I dont know if it will work since the heads are different. so in your case I would take their advise and get something bigger. unless you wanna fork out money and get a 250ex head on there. that way you will have the 10% more power. but I dont even know if thats possible. it gonna take a lot of money to make a recon faster. but a high comp piston would be nice. Im getting one soon. but if you wann run pump gas dont go over 11:1, other wise you will go broke just by buying feul
