300EX

I bought my pipes cause they were supposed to be the best. I didnt buy them for looks,it was for performance. Plus as far as I know there is no such thing as black, or any other color or style of Duncan double barrel pipes. And I found that the chrome cleans up easier than the black stock crap, but the alumininum silencer always looks grungy and dull.
As for you mojave300ex, my advice is a cam to go with your pipes. Unless you get your valves to operate differently you will not get much out of just pipes alone, as they will restrict air flow more so than your pipes. 22" really sucked the life out of my stock 400. It wasnt so bad after the hop up, go with 20's

abigredmachine,
The discussion at the time of my post was about the DG Kromepower exhaust and not Duncan Double Barrel, which for obvious reasons isn't even available for the 300EX.
They are available in RCM steel, RCM aluminum, and Krome Power...same pipe....different finish.
Likewise here......I didn't notice that you were running double barrels or that you were riding a 400EX
Happy trails

On my 300ex I have 20/11/9 6 ply razr's.These are mounted on ITP .190's.
As for my exhaust.I have opened the stock header pipe up considerably.I used a die grinder and fround the end where it meets the head out alot.As well as did the same thing in the Slip on.I am still using the stock slip on.I run a 350x airbox boot with a UNI filter.I am running a 126 main jet.Didn't mess with anything else.Against other wise stock 300's I beat them by about a bike.Doesn't matter the rider. We can switch and the results be the same. That is when they have stock 22 inch tires though.
When I get a pipe I plan on getting a white bro's pro-meg complete. As well as a white bro's track cam and having the head ported with larger valves from LRD.I am not going into big bore because I ride it everyday.
