I just got my 300ex a month ago but i have noticed 2 significant problems. One is the turningt radius. I have trails behind my house and there are some pretty tight spots and the only way to make it around them is to whip out my back end. Is there any way to improve the turning radius? And my leg gets burnt on my pipe where it runs down the side of my quad. I looked a couple of days ago and my plastic even has a burn mark on it. Is it because the pipe shield has holes in it and is there a way to fix it with aftermarket parts, Thanks in advance.

My cousin had a 300ex and my brother inlaw had a 250x, pretty much the same thing. We would swap rides often and I can tell you the 300ex wouldnt be able to turn around on a 4 lane highway, but in the same note the 250x could turn 180's real good. I have no idea since everything looks the same.

When I got my 300EX, I noticed the turning radius imediatly, it's not as tight as some atv's but actually I think it's in a fine position. As for turning around on a 4 lane highway...1 small lane is plenty, Plus it prevents you from smashing the handlebars into your thighs, when you run into trees/rocks/walls.. hehe. My right leg does get a little hot every now and then, but I don't notice it unless im wearing shorts. But every pipe gets hot.

Yeah the turning radius ain't all that tight, but thats what reverse it for, and if you wear pants you won't really notice the heat off the engine, but I have burnt my leg a few times from wearing shorts.
