A friend of mine has a 2001 300EX which is stock. Told him I am looking to buy a older 250X. He says yeah ill toastya no problem. I said ah.. not so fast, i have heard that the 250 is faster than the 300, because it had a different cam setup. Also the 250X I dont think it has reverse so there is some weight loss all with no electric start too. Well let me know what you guy think.

 

The 250X is quite a bit faster, because of the higher compression piston, and being lighter weight.

 

I have 2 300ex's the 98 will outrun my freinds 250x but the 2001 won't.Go figure!!

 

250Xs have reverse.....and i was faster on mine then any stock EX i raced..

 

Thats cool that the 250x's have reverse, now that is all the more reason to get one. Yeah I wasnt 100% sure so I didnt want to make a fool out of my self.
