I have been ridding the Kids 250EX's and have noticed a pretty bad clunking noise coming from the drive shaft to motor connection area when in the high gears and when hitting small bumps. Took one to the dealer he said they tore it apart and found no problems and the noise was because of the gearing??? I am going to take the other 250 to another dealer and see what they think. I only have 2 weeks of warrantee time left. Pleas help

Don't know what it is, but it isn't normal. Neither our 250 or Recon do this. You say BOTH machines do it???

This is a normal sound i think. I am guessing that the sound is coming when you hit the brakes then get back on the gas?? I have had this happen to my recon and all you have to do is down shift. I have also heard of other 250's doing the same thing and having no major problems.

Both machines have the clunking and it is happening when coasting and then accelerating and if I down shift it's quite. 2nd unit goes to another dealer on the Monday let you know if they find anything.

Then you are having no problems if it doesn't do it when you down shift and if both bikes are doing the same then save yourself some money and forget about the dealer.
