Hi all. I wonder why some people say that Honda will come out with something new by Sept 12. Where do you guys got that information? If true, would that be a 2004 models that will sell next summer?

Thanks

Sept 12 is the Honda dealer show. It's when Honda announces the 2003 line up.
So anything new will be announced then.

Honda's new year models are always in "waves". The first wave is usually announced around May and the second wave is announced at the dealer show. Sometimes, the second wave consists of all new machines and sometimes they consist of improved existing models.

A new sport quad to be released next month is a result from the rumor mill courtesy of Honda Reps this year and not internet gossip. There is something coming, but it's not known what. It is rumored also that this quad will be a 2004 model and be released next spring.

Everyone hears a few different stories that change and take twists before reaching their final destination here on the forum. I was told by my Rep last week at what he was told about the new quad, but I have only shared that with about a dozen members here and will not post it here in the open foum for the same reasons that all the other guys are arguing about right now.

It's going to please the MX crowd, but I'm not sure if the dune runers will be pleased at all.

KNOWSALOT: That is a good reply, thank you very much. I am ambarassed now, because I wanted to sell my 2001 400EX to buy something more actual. If Honda release something new in the same branch, that would be interesting to me. I wonder if I can wait another year...

I could sell my 400EX now and keep my money until next spring. That would make a good amount of cash to put on the new machine.. Hope this new quad will fit my needs. I don't do MX tracks... I more a trail/pit guy. I think we can consider this required the same kind of bike.

well don't you get more money outta things in the spring?? i know ute's get more in the fall, but this is a sport quad. i see you're from quebec, wich means you get a lot of snow, so you won't miss it over the winter.
