i am considering buying a UNI "multi-stage competition off-road air filter" for my 250 honda utility. will this help my fourwheeler's performance? if so, what will it improve, and how much will it help? thanks for the information.

It will help it get more air. And you MIGHT notice a little better throttle response, but don't expect a night and day difference. It is a top notch filter, and worth the money.

Ditto. You'll gain up to 5%, maybe more, in horsepower. You won't need to rejet. Uni is nearly as efficient as K/N, and you don't have to buy a cleaning kit. Also, 1/2 the cost of K/N, just as durable. If you overoil the foam, the oil will leak into your machine's intake system.

i appreciate the help guys. i also want to put an aftermarket exhaust on my quad. the only one i can find is COBRA. is this a good brand? how much will a new exhaust help my quad? would this require me to re-jet the fourwheeler? sorry for all the questions, but i dont know much about engines. thanks again.

Cobra is crap, and loud to boot. If your silencer is in good shape, just leave it,or you might be able to make a universal one like a Supertrapp work. If you need a replacement, some make a replacement type that is cheaper,DG makes one,and I'm sure there are others. Have you checked Dennis Kirk for any other silencers available?

Where is a good place to buy a Uni filter, or any other good foam filter online? Most places just advertise K&N and I want a little more protection than that.
